Our fundraising campaign for the Kakamega Forest Heritage Foundation (KFHF) is managed through Mellap Murila LLC, which is temporarily collecting donations on behalf of KFHF as the organization seeks fiscal sponsorship. While Mellap Murila LLC is not a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, we are committed to ensuring transparency, compliance, and accountability during this period.
Key Details for Donors:
Legal Compliance and Transparency: We want donors to be fully aware that Mellap Murila LLC is acting as an intermediary to collect and transfer funds directly to KFHF, ensuring all contributions go towards conservation and community programs. Any associated fees or deductions will be clearly communicated.
Tax Implications: Please note that donations made to Mellap Murila LLC are not tax-deductible under U.S. law, as it is not a registered 501(c)(3). Once KFHF secures a fiscal sponsor, this status will change, allowing tax-deductible receipts to be issued.
Fund Transfer Process: Donations are securely processed through Donorbox, with PayPal as the payment processor. Funds collected by Mellap Murila LLC will be accurately tagged and promptly transferred to KFHF’s bank account. We maintain thorough documentation of all transactions to ensure accountability and transparency.
