It’s a whisper, but heard as loud as a scream! nature is calling to its keepers and its time we heed.

Like the garden of Eden did, Kakamega forest punctuates Kenya’s green carpet with grandeur.

Its statuesque fauna and radiant flora are a perfect symbiosis metaphor.

Its birds are the melody at the crack of dawn, its majestic green leaves the ambiance of unrivaled bliss.

Its robust trunks swing to the charm of the wind as the forest gently dances to its music.

As far as the eyes can see the forest hugs the western horizon with a mother’s love.

A masterpiece fashioned by the hands of  nature’s master architect.

Do not pluck my leaves! You will leave me naked and exposed to the harshness of this world.

Do not cut my trunks! You kill the foundation of  your nature’s biggest lungs.

Do not unearth my roots! You will make extinct my beautiful  green generation.

Do not choke me with smoke nor poison the earth with ash from your blazing fires!

You are my keepers, keep me and I will care for every of your generations.

Love me and I will make pure the air you breath, water my roots and I will bring forth fresh rivers.

Mother nature is calling, a whisper as gentle as its breeze but a scream of agony to its keepers.

We are natures keepers, the Adam and Eve of this generation, the narrators of nature’s narrative.

Lets not sit by as our first home perishes in the hands of ‘giants’ who would shamelessly make orphans of us all.

Our mother is dying, she is calling out for us. Heed this gentle call and scream it to the world. Rise up keepers!

On November 26th 2016 join other nature’s keepers as we Run to Restore and Conserve the Kakamega forest.
